I prefer plastic due to the fizz factor.
It seems aluminum cans need more carbonation to support the can while plastic, and to an even greater extent glass, have less carbonation.

I prefer the slightly less carbonation versions.

Cans only. It tastes better. Bottle is even better. I just can't drink coke out of a plastic container knowing how much better it tastes out of a can.

This thread is funny as hell...don't you folks know those aluminum cans have an interior coating that's usually made from some sort of epoxy resin? (just another form of plastic)

I prefer soda and beer from glass bottles, but sadly, the recycle value is so low that it's hardly worth the work involved.

Aluminum cans are convenient and easy to recycle, PLUS, the recycle value is still high, (CRV cans $2.20/lb) and IMO, the taste of the beverage isn't severely impacted. Plastic bottles are more convenient when traveling, have the ability to be resealed to prevent spillage, and don't break when dropped, but like many people, I also think they can affect the taste of the beverage.

I've had some pretty good beers from cans. Ska Brewing or Dale Brewing (both from Colorado) put their beer in cans. I don't like to drink from the cans though; usually I pure it into a glass to enjoy.

Aluminum. It recycles easily, and the reprocessing can be done indefinitely.
Form aluminum into can, melt can, rinse, repeat.

(Glass would also work. It's quite exceptionally inert, and is also easily recycled. And you can get fresh silicon dioxide damn near anywhere, though it does need to be processed to get decent glass.)

That's amazing when you consider that tuna cans are made out of steel.
doh! Is tin used for anything anymore?

Weird coincidence, but while at lunch today, a guy asked for some "tin foil" to put his sandwich in. I thought to myself, "What a moron. It's all aluminum foil now a days."
...and here I am, thinking tuna comes in tin cans. 🙂

Everyone does that. I had an argument with my friend about this the other day.

I grabbed a magnet off his fridge and stuck it to the can and he went like this: 😱

I voted aluminum, but glass is superior to both.

I think the primary difference is that glass and aluminum are colder on the lips while drinking, giving the impression of a colder beverage.

I've been a Coke addict my entire life. Pepsi, Royal Crown, Root Beer could not come close to an ice cold Coke. My preference has always been Glass. Second has been Aluminum. Plastic is last.

I've found the tap (like at fast foods) can sometimes not have the mixture just right. Sometimes its too much syrup and sometimes it's too little. At Sonic I tend to order a Chocolate Coke. Yummmmmmmmmmmm!
