No, one is good enough. Don't want to overextend yourself like that annoying bitch Rachael Ray.

Fruity? The ladies love a guy that can cook. How's that fruity? ;)

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one. If not, I would have made a total ass of myself, LOL

I really think he is great for young cooks.

I love to cook and have been trying to get better.

What Alton does that no others do is really tell you "what is going on, this is what you're looking for and here's why...this is what happens with too much heat or too little heat...your emulsion will colapse without good airation/mixing"

Great show.

-edit-
For example, take a recipie...it says "sautee" What is sautee? Because the difference between sautee and others is all in the heat. there's probably 12 different ways to cook onions/garlic...which one do you use??? He tells you what and why.

Definitely a kick ass show. The thing I like the most is it's not just a cooking show. You get the reasoning behind why you do this and how this reacts with that and so on. Thanks to the intarweb I have every episode on DVD.

I bought my wife his second book for Christmas. I've been glancing through it. It is very informative.

I also got her Paula Dean's books and The Barefoot Contessa's.

I got these for the wife for Christmas.

His explaination of how to make a cheesecake was as detailed as I've ever seen in a recipe.

He is probably FoodTV's most educational and useful program. He's basically the Bill Nye of cooking. Funny, entertaining, and you actually learn things, too.
