I know the P180 has people going crazy for it, but I am still having a hard time justifying spending 130$+ for a case without a power supply. That and the thing weighs a ton and I am not the biggest fan of how it looks.

Are there any similar cases which are bundled with a power supply?

Are there any similar cases which have similar noise levels, but for less money(build quality not as important as weight imo)

Sonata 2?

It comes with a power supply and is around $90. I've heard its not as quiet as the original Sonata, but I would buy it, or not. There are materials out there which can dampen noise as well.

I want the freedom to pick my own psu.

Unfortunately that freedom usually comes with quite the cost =(

How about this one?

Or I might get the P160 as it is much lighter, and probably not much louder. Not to mention its about 40$ less shipped.

tell us, what brand do you prefer? do you like front doors? what is more important to you, cooling or noise? or both? does size matter to you? bigger or smaller?

mini tower? mid tower? full tower?

then we can narrow it down

cooling is more important than noise, and weight/price/noise are also things to consider...Size is not important, dont care about doors.

Leaning towards the P160 right now.

Does anyone know of a review comparing the P160 to the P180?

I think Silent PC Review did an objective analysis of both. Separately of course, but they share the same ideals as you when it comes to cases. Silent and cool.

TT Soprano/Tsunami is nice.

Coolermaster has a nice one similar to the Soprano also.

I have the P160 at home right now in the machine I just built, I do like the toolless aspect of the case, it works nicely. I like almost everything about the case with the exception of one big area, the front cover on the case!!!!

The front cover is made of some crap plastic that they spraypaint silver to look all snazy, it's cheap and watch the clips on it if you want to pull it off they will break easily if you are not careful. The top of the case i recieved had a problem also, if you push any weight on it it will make a horrible squeek noise.

I don't think Antec is putting the best craftsmanship in the P160, I would go with maybe a Lian Li case if you don't want to go with the P180. Lian Li has great cases with awesome craftsmanship.

I have always hated TT cases. They look like crap to me and the quality of some of them suck. They also have never introduced an original design. They just take somebody eleses idea and make it into some ugly pile of sh!t.

My only dislike about the P160 is it only has 2 holes for fans. 2 x 120mm fans should be quite a lot, but the front intake really focuses on cooling the HDs, and a lot of air doesn't get through and bounces back out the front. That's why if you put your hand in front, you can feel some air.

I would like to drill a hole in the side for a nexus fan or something...

Like i said before I am not a big fan of the P160, but the reason I don't like mine isn't because of poor cooling. I have great temps on mine, I have a fan in the front sucking in and then one in the back blowing out.

Well as long as the HDD cage isn't fully populated you should still get some decent airflow through the front. :)

Doesn't the windowed version have a side fan?

Such unbiased opinions based on facts you guys have

I own a TT Tsunami, & IMO, it's a very stylish design with a very efficient layout.
The tool-less chassis for everything is also very convenient.
All the fans it comes with are very quiet as well.

I previously owned an Antec SX1040B, which was the stupidest ineffcient layout.

I can actually fit more HDDs, etc., in my much smaller Tsunami than i could in the monstrous but somehow crowded Antec SX1040B.

Now IMO, a case is something that should be bought based on personal preference, not cause everyone says a certain one is good.

Also, comments such as TT sucks are simply naive & childish.

If we all assumed only one brand was good, then we'd all be using Pentium 4s in our Dells
