alternative to WGET?

i'm trying to get a URL onto my web host company, apparently they don't have wget installed. is there any alternative?

You can just use a text based webbrowser like lynx or links to get http pages, then save them, and a ftp client to get ftp'd files.

Also ask them if they can provide wget for you. Most of the time it's a pretty simple program to install.

If you have a full shell you can just download and install wget in your home directory yourself.

Sounds like you've got telnet access? I'd think that they'd also have ftp then... as drag mentions. That's what I'd be using but that's just what I'm comfortable with.
