Is there something I can use to replace the Quicktime browser plugin? It's horrible under Vista64 - the whole control bar under the video is solid black, so I have to guess at where anything is. I watch .mov files in Media Player Classic, but I don't see any way to use MPC inside my browser.

That's just the normal quicktime browser plugin, as far as I can tell (I reformatted a few weeks ago and only installed QT alternative, but the plugin's exactly as it was before, with the same problems).

From what I've read, you can run Firefox in XP Compatibility mode and it should solve your issue.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I actually came across that while googling earlier and it didn't seem to do anything for me. It also seems to be a less than ideal solution even when it does work, as it supposedly makes Vista revert to the "basic" theme and turns off Aero glass until you close Firefox.

Quicktime has been crashing for me on random videos in Firefox for the longest time, so I just disabled the plugin and always download Quicktime videos. I suppose you could probably change try changing your Firefox Options > Applications to always open Quicktime files with Media Player Classic.
