Alternative to Daemon Tools?

I use Daemon Tools however I am short on Ram. I have 1gb of memory however BF2 requires more than that. I'm trying to free up as much as I can. Are there any other Image mounting utilities that do not use any ram until you actually start the image program? From what I understand Alcohol runs in the background just like Daemon.
 
i dunno man. you aare better off buying another gig of ram than trying to quibble over 1mb of ram usage by daemon tools.
 
I don't believe it'll be possible because they all require a driver be installed to create the virtual devices. The driver shouldn't use any noticable amount of memory though, so you should probably look for another area from which to free up memory.
 
A/Vs, Firewalls, Anti-Spyware apps and other things take up much more RAM then any thing else. Look there first.
