Alternative to ATI Multimedia Center?

I need to record a bunch of stuff from TV (Tour de France) while I am on vacation. There is a scheduler in ATI Multimedia Center but it doesn't seem to work properly. It locks up and then complains about faulty installation of DX9.
I have an ATI TV Wonder VE card.


Is there an alternative?

there are alternatives, but truthfully I am not sure what they are offhand. I think if you google it you can probably find something... i think there is a website dedicated to TV cards, I am sure they would be able to tell you... not sure of the URL, but again, google might know 🙂

check rage3d its kind of like anandtech but dedicated to ati stuff. Shadowstream may be what you are looking for but i am not sure if it will run on an anything but an aiw. You could also look at snapstream, which probably will run on the tv wonder.

SageTV baby, its awesome, but alas it will not work with your software encoder card.

Try Win DVD Recorder. Works fine with my AIW 9200 and an AIW 8500. You can try it for free...

www.myhtpc.net may be able to do what you need with the GotTV plug-in.
