My market area has just been opened up by Sprint Broadband and I want to get it. The biggest thing that is holding me back is that I have NetGear 314 Router that I want to use with there service but the modem they are going to install has a router built in and they tell me it filters other routers.
Does anyone know if there is an alternative modem I can use with this service. or has anyone got their personal router to work through Sprints modem.

PLEASE I NEED BROADBAND!!:D

Thanks,

If they are installing an internal PCI device then I think you might be SOL.

If they are installing an external device then it might be possible for you to configure it to go into bridging mode, that would allow the Netgear to handle the connection.

It would be most helpful if you could tell us what model/manufacturer modem they are going to install.

I have SBBD and a Linksys router. Unless they have a new modem rolling out other than the Dark Green Hybrid, your router should work.

EDIT: No, you can't buy a different modem.
