OK, first of all, great find, Jokersmoker. I just bought this setup and they really sound great. I bought them so I could have some decent sound until I could afford the coveted Klipsch Promedia 2.1's, but they sound so good, I may just put that off indefinitely. I can't believe the difference these Altec's make over the cheapie speakers that come with the off-the-shelf PCs.

Second, who knows what BestBuy's price match/guarantee policy is? I paid $39 for these four days ago!

I was wondering the same thing.... it came up as $11 shipping... hell, Sam's Club had them cheaper if that's the case. I really dunno if I should try a PM at the B&M... CONUSA does really suck.

After having a few sets of Altec's I can say they are usually superior at least in this price range to most anything you compare them to(simlar models) in acoustics and power... If you listen to a lot of music (or game a lot) step up a model or two if you can and you wont regret it.

i remember someone mentioning in the $699 toshiba laptop thread that staples will pm with online retailers. the only question is... will they biotch about the in-store price and internet price. hmm....

Any other deals on these speakers or similar quality ones? (BTW how do these compare to the harman kardon 19.5 that ship with dell systems?)
