Altec Lansing ATP3 speakers @ Best Buy

Bottom line is Klipsch and other gaming speakers are all about the lowend. As long as they boom, most bass-monkey gamers don't care what they sound like.

The ATP3s are even frequency response, low distortion speakers designs for listening to music, movies, or any other source where you want to hear frequencies above 200HZ clearly.

Bottom line, for $30, these are a steal for anyone who appreciates good sound and doesn't need to let the neighbors know it. If you are a bass-monkey, go for a drive.

the Versatile 251 Altec Lansing set really rocks! that has boomy bass and nice highs/mids!! if you disagree then listen to it!!! i guarantee you will change your mind!

Klipsch are some of the best in the world. These Altec Lansing are obviously not in the same class, but for $30, its a hot deal.

I'm headed to my local BB in a few minutes (Northgate Mall, Seattle, WA). I'll post later if there are any there. Thanks for the deal.

I checked the Milpitas, CA store and the Altec Lansing ATP3 box (just 1) they had on the shelf rang up at $79. I had them doublecheck for a clearance price and they said there was none. So perhaps this is a local thing?

Why not get the logitech z-340's from target bm for $23.95 I bought 2 sets and they blow away my old alt speakers. IMHO altec lansing has a reputation, that they do not deserve. In the car audio arena they are low end consumer grade. I think its more of a fancy name than anything. Also the availability on the 340's are going to be alot easier to find than clearance deals at bestbuy.

Also the 8x ammount of watts blah blah people that buy equiptment only on specifacations are going to get what they deserve. They most important factors are sound and construction. Dont worry about thd this and x ammount of watts per channel. Listen to the things, do they sound good, are they well made. That should really be all that matters. Logitech is really making a name for themselves in the pc speaker world, I was skeptical just most people, had to buy klipsch because of the small penis factor, now logitechs are the first place I look, because the sound quality and value are incredible.

I have the ATP3s and the Z340s. The ATP3s sound much better. If that deal was good here, I'd buy another set and give it as a gift. Go with the Altecs if available for $29.

I agree, I love my ATP3's! I am going to my local BB to see if they have any tomorrow! Wish me luck!

This deal I think was nationwide only for the weekend when Staples had theirs @ $29 AR. That store that still has it at $29 probly just forgot to fix it. I have both the Logitech z340 and these Altecs now. Comparison:
Altec: more accurate sound overall, more musical, no headphone jack
Logitech: LOUDER, headphone jack, much boomier, slightly cheaper ($24)

Argh, if only my old Altec ACS48 didn't blow up...now those were extremely good low end speakers for under $50.
