Altec Lansing 4100 for $96.95 after MIR??? Possible $82!!!

First Sorry if this is a repost. I'm really asking a question...

This is at buy.com. There is a rebate form from Altec Lansing $30 for 2100's and $50 for 4100's. It says on the rebate only good at "participating locations". What does a manufacturers rebate have to do with where you got it? And if this can be had at Newegg the price would go to $82 for the 4100's.

More lukewarm than Hot...

I tried something similar w/ the Netgear RT314 router.. Best Buy wasn't a qualifying place to get the router so I didn't get the rebate
