I just tried Alt Linux Junior 2.2. It seems to install OK on my 2 HDD's that are on a Promise Ultra33. BUT, when I boot, LILO comes up (So it must be on MBR) and then after a screen full of bootup messages I get Kernal Panic, no master found 2102 (21:02). Any Idea what that can be? I get same if I boot from floppy, but I believe the floppy tries /dev/hde1 as well.
Any ideas? If I go into the rescue system, I can see all the files on the HDD's.
TIA...and Mandrake 9.1 had no problem with this.
Did the partition portion of the install get messed up...LILO does boot. I made hde1 as ext2 / and the rest a swap. hdf1 was a full ext2 and was /usr.
Maybe I can change lilo.conf to boot fd0...would that help?
