This is weird, I get plenty of sleep, (usually 8 hours a night) yet i always feel tired... I take vitamins, no fever, no anything but being tired all the time... what the hells wrong wit me?

EDIT:
I just realized that around the time that i started being tired all the time, i also seemed to get hungry alot, no matter what I ate... could these be related?

i think you may be dying... sorry for the bad news...

seriously, it could be depression, bad eating, etc. Or it could be you are not a morning person.

If it's NOT depression, then perhaps you need LESS sleep. I only sleep for approximately 5 hrs a night and if I get more I am drowsy the entire next day.

Depending upon where you live, it could be the time of year, and weather! I know this may sound stupid, but studies have shown that many people are much more fatigued feeling in the winter months! ;)

Bad eating, and lack of exercise will do that to ya.

I know, cause I'm lazy, and eat badly myself. I also get a good amount of sleep, but lack energy.

When I was working out/eating right (see before I bought a computer :Q). I had way more energy. :)

There is something called SAD (seasonal affective disorder) it has to do with a lack of sunlight in the winter.

its east hartford man, that little town has this galloping miasma about it, from pratt and whitney.

Also how active are you outside of work? do you jog or excercise, I find, if I'm active alot on the weekends I'm more peppy during the work week, after work I have alot more energy, and get stuff done.

ark: i havnt been doing much exercise since roller hockey season stopped (spring, summer, fall outdoors) could be that... havnt had the drive to start execising at all, which sucks.

exercising makes alot of people feel better. i, personally, feel that it is due to a combination of your diet and exercise. you ought to eat foods that are good for you and try to stay away from greasy items.

see a doctor, I had a similar problem, and they did blood tests. It didn't help in my case, but it might in yours.

8 hours is ideal for a night's sleep. If you were sleeping, say, 11/night, then I'd say you were sleeping too much. So I wouldn't recommend cutting back on sleep, 5 hours is wayyy too little sleep and can affect your health. As for diet, try eating more veggies and drinking some more oj. Get more exercise, monitor stress, and most importantly, see a doc. Even slight changes like feeling tired all the time can be early warning signs of major problems. Example: a neighbor of ours started feeling tired all the time, decided to see a doc, and they found cancer. Better safe than sorry.

as good as 8 hours of sleep a night is, it doesn't work for me, i too feel super drowsy and out of it if i recieve too much sleep, try a little less and see how you feel.

Unless you can rule out it being a seasonal or too-much-sleep thing, I'd go have some simple blood tests taken. Once or twice a year I end up with a serious iron deficiency that makes me sleepy and lethargic (it usually doesn't make me eat more, just gives me cravings for chewing ice). Maybe you're taking too many vitamins? Too much is just as bad as too little.

Take the advice offered here to try some other things like exercise and less sleep for a bit, and if it doesn't help, I'd go have the doctor suck some blood and run a couple of minor tests.
