After riding in the G35, I like my friends 325Ci much better. If you can afford it, I'd get the 330Ci. The interior of the G35 is just too cheap IMHO.

I'm in the same boat, I really want a G35 but my wife wants a Volvo.. heh
Looks like we're getting a volvo!
There aren't too many G35s on the road here in Boston. I've been commuting 40 miles each day and have only seen one G35 in the past month or so.

Get the FX45. You'll get your speed + control + SUV all in one package.

Er the FX45 is not a SUV. It's a freaking wagon on wheels. The interior is chintzy for a 45-55K vehicle and the passenger side huge swab of plastic dash is crappy. The rear foot-space & headroom is pathetic and the luggage space is also quite low. Beyond the 20 inch wheel bling factor and decent performance for a poseur SUV , it really doesn't have much IMO.
Now about the original Poster choice:
G35:
Pros: Great RWD handling, value for money, possibly better reliability.
Cons: Chintzy interior. Doesn't have AWD. Gonna be a bear in snow/rain. Don't know how safe it is
Volvo S60:
Only option worth considering in S60 is the one with T5 motor or the new R version
Pros: Decent AWD handling. Average Interior, though better than G35. Good safety record.
Cons: Handling than comparable AWD Audi A4. Rear seat space possibly a bit less than G35.

I've been wanting to get an Explorer but when i thought about it, the truck didn't really suit me (aside from the fact that it can carry cargo). I've come to the conclusion that I want speed and control. So, which sedan should I get? the G35 and Volvo S60 are in the same price category. Do you guys have any recommendations?
