Half an hour till judgement time...

And to whoever said we were paying too much for too little bandwidth, I'd like you to find 550+Kbs downloads for under 45 a month.

My @home has always been blazing fast, with the exception of a few local router problems that cause high pings for a while.

So, should I sign up for 3 free months of MSN before 3am? Or just wait for this shizzle to die and sign up in the morning from my mom's computer?

<< Letter to our Subscribers

October 1, 2001

Dear Valued @Home Subscribers:
Today, Excite@Home announced that it has agreed to sell essentially all of its broadband Internet access business assets and related services to AT&T. In addition, the company filed for relief under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code today in San Francisco. The sale is subject to the emergence of higher offers and closing conditions, including bankruptcy court approval. AT&T's offer is an important acknowledgement of the value of our network, services, skilled employees and strong relationships we have with you, our subscribers.

We entered into this restructuring to help protect the value of the broadband business for the benefit of the company's financial stakeholders and to help reassure you, our valuable subscribers, that service will continue uninterrupted through the restructuring process.

Excite@Home is open for business as usual and we expect to move through our financial restructuring and sale as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your continued support.
