BMI is a bunch of bull. It's about as accurate as having a 5 year old tell you how you look; they either say fat or skinny. That, in essence, is how gloriously accurate the BMI is.

I'm 22.8, btw. 6' 3.5ish inches and 185 lbs.

BMI is pointless. Get a real bodyfat test like DEXA if you really want to measure body composition.

BMI is horribly inaccurate because it doesn't take into account muscle mass. I am 1 away from overweight and I am most definitely no where near over weight. Anything it is measuring is muscle.

6' 1" 180lbs

The funny thing is that my weight does not fluctuate at all when I exercise, because I seem to build muscle and burn fat at a 1:1 ratio. This means that my BMI was 23.7 back when I could plainly see my abs while flexing, and it's 23.7 now when my abs have joined an underground movement.

5'11 / 192lbs = overweight

I need to lose about 15 pounds, although I have to say that according to this thing I was overweight at 178lbs & at that level I have very little fat on my body at all.

28.7

5'10" 200 lbs.

It does say there are limitations. Those that have a small build and those with a muscular build get screwed over in this, as it will not be accurate. I wear size 32-34 pants, I'm still a bit overweight, but a BMI of 28.7 is almost obese. People say I look buff, so go figure.

Guess what's more accurate than BMI? Me deciding whether you are fat or not based on a picture of yourself in a snowsuit.

23.1 btw.

about 23. didn't use that one cause i'm lazy and don't want to convert cmts and kg's again. it actually is:
0-21 is underweight
21-24 is perfect
25-40 obese
40-above morbidly obese

6ft 2inch

165lbs

very little of it is fat. (<- been swiming for 16 years.... had about 5 years of that doing 40-50,000m week in week out, still swim though i now do other things like bike, and light weights)

its a bit rubbish this thing isnt it.

what if you are a body builder? you could be 6ft and 200lbs of snorting muscle and it would tell you your a fat bastard.
