This is a car I always loved, from relatively way back in the day. I am beyond happy Alpine has resurrected it.

yes! I think the 110 is pretty, but the stratos is something else entirely. it's quirky, and unique, and imho way more interesting than the 110.

you know, the other day i saw a left had drive accord crosstour with a euro license plate on I-25 headed to Denver. black square shape with white letters, Italian? not sure. no other markings.

it was very strange... who would buy that car? who would pay to have it imported? why is it left hand drive with a Italian plate? very strange.

While I do like the styling of the new A110 I'd still rather have the classic S110. I'll take proven 60's rally heritage over modern power any day.

Stratos is a cool car too but doesn't stack up next to the Delta S4, which is just bonkers crazy.

To my untrained eye, the new A110 is remarkably faithful to the looks of the old S110. And the reason I LOVE the original Stratos so much was that, to me, it's one of THE sexiest automobiles EVAR!

So . . . that's a key diff between us. You're into the machinery while I'm just a sucker for a pretty, well proportioned body. Any of those vehicles would be more than enough for me to get in serious trouble on a public road.

The Makers Of The New Stratos Might Just Save The Cadillac Blackwing Engine [Corrected]

Consider, for a brief moment, the De Tomaso Pantera. Italian design and build. Mid-mounted American V8 power. Perfection, really. Not many sports cars have used the same recipe, which is a kind of a shame. Still, there’s hope in the horizon for fans of the combination, if everything goes to plan.
