I recieved my Alpha PAL8045 heatsink today and it was very obvious that it would not fit in my Soltek SL-75DRV2 board without modification. It did seem to be an easy mod so I tried it. I needed to cut one corner completely off on the back side near the large capaciter. I then noticed after I did cut off the corner that the power connector was too close. I had already cut the heatsink so returning it was out. I then cut a very small amount out of the other corner about a 1/2" long. I was able to keep the screw hole for the fan in place and only cut close to it. It now fits fine, the fan holds very well with only 3 screws holding it in place and my first temps are fantastic at 37c on a 1700+ OC to 1575 Mhz. The biggest difference is the noise. WOW is all I can say. I got rid of that screming 7k fan. I am using a 40CFM Sunun fan.
My DVD player is louder at high speed.

I love this board so far no issues that were the boards fault.
I had a real strange problem with memory that I can only assume was just a real bad string of luck with Crucial.
Three bad PC2100 modules in a row. The fourth one works like a charm.

Good: Stable, Fast, FSB controlled in Bios, relatively cheap(I paid $119, if Newegg gets them they will sell for an amazing $89)
Bad: No multiplyer in Bios only by dip switches, poor support from vendor (Only one person answering emails at Soltek (no lie))

I have read about some USB issues with Keyboards and Mice, but I use PS2 and can't confirm.

I will try to fix PM.
