Alpha PAL6035 with the Sunon 60mm fan in an Epox 8kta3

The reviews say this should be very quiet. Will it fit in the Epox board? Is it powerful enough for an Athlon 1ghz with no overclocking? thanks for any help.

Excellent fan setup. I have that same HS/fan running my P3-700e @ 1ghz, with no problems.

It'll fit just fine.. that's why people buy the 6035 over the PEP66.. because of the space factor.. should fit just fine on your MB..

BTW I agree.. that Sunon with this HS is the perfect ratio of db vs. cfm.. I use it myself to OC and it's just perfect for me..

I use that setup too. I still think the fan is too noisey though. Although a PEP setup should fit on the Epox too so...

Can you power this one with teh MB, or should I get a 4 pin to 3 pin adapter ?

You should use an adapter (just to be safe). Also - the Sunon fan has a whiny motor noise - I think I am going try one of the more quiet Panflo's or Denki's.
