This intake cover thing with the 4 notches in each corner..

Is this thing supposed to sit flush on the heat sink? If so, is one of the metal pin things from the heat sink supposed to go inside there? I've been toying with this thing for a bit and I can't get it to sit flush, any tips?

The cover should sit above the heatsink a bit all around.
It gives it like a centemeter or so air gap for the fan.
 
yea i remember when i just kept screwing it and starting ripping the little notches and the screws went through the bottom of the HS 😉
