Has anyone used these together?
I'm just wondering if alpha's resistor disclaimer is accurate and if there's any other installation issues.

Oedipus, I'm wondering if your reassuring words are from personal experience.
Also, your signature is slightly offensive in its assuming nature, as I am indeed a cow.
And oddly enough my horns kind of look like the picture too. never noticed that until now...

And whats with the girl icon anyway? Its weird enough that your name refers to momsex :D

I use the 8045 on my 8RDA+ and I did see that the upper-left washer was going to ride on the resistor that Alpha's talking about, so I laid the washer on the desk and nipped off a bit of it with a utility knife. I will be careful to hold that standoff with a 1/4" open-end wrench when unscrewing the springbolt from it in the future so it doesn't try to spin the washer & standoff and put stress on the resistor.

Thanks for asking this - I never even thought of this. I use an 8045, and am hoping to get an 8RDA+ motherboard soon.

Just wanted to report that I have my 8RDA+ and Tbred 2100 running just fine with the 8045. The CPU and RAM are both running on a 166MHz bus; the Tbred is near its default speed though - going to try OCing it later. But currently it's running at 41C; that could improve though once the Arctic Silver 3 sets up.
