Well then maybe it's a good thing utilities are included in my rent. I just picked up a 42" Samsung. With the tv running sometimes 13 hours a day and my pc on all day as well, my electrical bill would be pretty high.

690W? Wow! My 50" Plasma is rated at around 450W. :Q I noticed my electric bill go up, but not too much.

I think 690W is insanely high. I doubt you'd get that in the real world. If you look at GarfieldtheCat's post above, the 50PZ800U (very similar to OP's 50PZ80U) uses 286W when calibrated, which amounts to an estimated $89/year ($7.42/month). Even though CNET measured it as using 286W, Panasonic still rates it at 692W.
