GameBox has a new home at Xmission. In the next little bit GameBox will be finishing up the last little changes in it's config, and I will keep working to finish the webpage and you choose scripts.

There is one thing that we still need more of!!!

Ram. I need to get into this box atleast another 128 meg module. I know some of you still have a couple bucks that you could send. Ever little bit will help and to those who have helpped so much already, Thank you very much, and I hope that you enjoy the box!!!!!

At request here is the method to get GB 5 bucks for free.

Go to My PayPal refer link and it will (when you sign up a bank account or credit card) send 5 bucks to gamebox for free. You also get 5 bucks for free to. If you don't have a CC or don't want to do this, GB does have a mailing address. 🙂

Game Box is shaping up quite nicely. LD and I were load testing it last night, and everything is operating smoothly (admittedly it was a handful of bots and us). In the next few days the final changes will be made and the box will be live. Excellent!

As LD pointed out, another 128MB module (at least...) needs to be purchased. I rarely play games, but I'm going to pledge another $20 for Game Box. Who wants to match me?

Assimilator1, there is the possibility of sending it snail mail to LD's snail mail address. I know another donater in a foreign country sent it this way. I'm guessing it would have to be transferred to US funds first.

GameBox now owns two domains for the (class) of ip's. 🙂

The sad part is that I used my 10 dollar domain reg for it, and also paid 25 bucks for the other domain. (I am happy to play 25 with my work, because I can fix the problems. 🙂 )

I bought two new alpha (heat sinks only) for GB to get it running just a little bit better. I do need ram badly.

My funds is at $17 dollars. And to get either a 128 or 256 meg dimm would be a lot to ask for any one person. Those of you who played on it and have sent money/parts Thanks again, and I hate to hit you up for more money because you guys have given so much. I'm asking those who have 5 bucks sitting around that might be able to give. Those who are unsure, after friday, see if your still unsure. That's when most of the box goes live and we can have some major fun.!!!

(Games that run on this machine are: Unreal Tournament, Quake3, Half Life(TFC, DM, CS) and Descent 3) If you have a game with a linux dedicated server that you want on there send me an email.
 
Looking at Pricewatch, PC100 memory goes for around $100 for 128 meg with shipping included. I've sent you $100 towards memory.

256 meg is around $200 (a little more for good quality sticks). If the others who pledged here come through, you should be close to 256 megs of ram.

Now get the gamebox up and running so we can constructively work off tension instead of flaming each other in posts! <grin>

LD, whats the best way to send you money from the UK, I'll send you some! I was going to send a cheque to Mika for the stats box a while back but at the time I was skint, so the gamebox is just as worthy a cause 🙂

From the UK.... BKehoe sent a bank note in US dollars from his bank. He just shipped it airmail.

Other then that I'm not sure. I am trying to find a way for people not in the US to send money to GameBox
