Barreii we are talking about the SiS 645 DX chipset, not the 645 chipset. Anyways, the Asus P4S533 and the MSI 645 MAX 2 are great mobos and have perfect stability. No stability issues whatsoever. I'm gettin mad because of your biased opinion. ONce again, I am talking specifically about these two chipsets and not any ECS crap garbage mobo you may have bought.

I have a very similar system, same case, ram, cpu and I'm running the P4S533. It's been great. I'm only running it at 2.133Ghz, but I do have the memory at 4:6, so it's running 400mhz. It runs well. I do have to say,

I think the onboard audio is pretty good. I don't know how much benefit there would be from the sblive card.

I should also note that I am running linux and win2k, and have not used winxp, although I can't imagine it would be much different, compatibility wise.

Nice choice! :)

What's the difference between the 4BDA and the 4BDA2+ ? Is it just the raid controller on the 2+ and that's it? Are they both easily overclockable, and have the same feature set?

The RAID is the major difference. There are a couple others. The 2+ has the LED diagnostic display. I've had both and saw a few other minor things. I'm not sure if this is actual difference between the two boards or just differenced because of date/place? of mfgr.

The 2+ came with the panel for the extra USB ports. The 4BDA didn't
The 2+ had a nicer CPU mount with a backplate. The 4BDA's had no backplate
The 2+ had a NB HS with a fan. The 4BDA had a passive HS. I prefer passive. The less noise the better.

I believe it's just the RAID controller and a diagnostic LED (4BDA just beeps or something instead).
