I am an excellent driver. I wasn't even paying attention to the phone as it was a hands free device. I might as well have been listening to music.

Addittionally did you even read my post?! I said i was going at a max speed of 5mph!! THat is plenty slow, for the conditions.

you just don't get it do you punk...if you had any experience you would know what to look for and not get in those positions.

Why am i suddenly a punk. It was simply and icy neighborhood. I was just driving through it to go home. The brake slamming was done on a completely seperate area, which was a commuter lot. GOing down this hill was simply just checking out the roads and heading for home from work and errands.

I do understand though, going down there with that much ice was not a smart move. However, dont you think i have learned. I even got a big lecture from my mom. Im a youth yes, i made a dumb move, am i going to screw around like that again NO, not without proper circumstances (ie empty parking lot with my dad, guiding me and teaching me).

Experience has everything to do with it. You would know that if you had any at all.

You will most likely never need four low unless you are going off-road or the weather conditions are extremely bad, in which case I would suggest you don't even bother venturing out.

My dad's old 1991 Chevy pickup did this. What he always had to do was go into second gear, neutral, and then into reverse. Try doing that, or the other gears and see if that makes that problem go away.

4WD just gives you more points to pick up traction. If the roads were all ice like you said good luck. If you ever hit ice do not hit your brakes.

YOu aren't listening. Yes experience would have told me that was a place to avoid however once in it experience doesn't mean crap. I didn't panic or anything, the car had 0 traction which meant experienced or not there was nothing i could do.

So there would be absolutely no reason for me to ever have to use 4WD Low unless we got about a foot of snow and i for some reason had to go out in it?

We might be heading to the Outer Banks again. What would i use in the sand if we go on the beach in the truck?

I did counter steer but i had 0 traction. So although i was supposed to be going straight the car kept drifting to the right towards the ditch.
