Does it makes sounds for no reason??? Thats the only thing I hate about radar detectors

Automatic doors and burgler alarms can set it off, thats what i like about V1, it will tell you if the alert is most likely bogus and can filter most of it out.

I have heard this, but wouldn't you normally be quite far away from these things if you are driving on a highway?

My radar detector has saved my arse a few times. I personally think they are well worth having.
I do reccomend a decent one though. If a person can afford it the V1 is a great detector. I have a Bel myself which works fairly decently.
