As long as you're not bagging your clippings (which is healthy for grass anyway if you don't) or have an acre to do, mowing is a breeze. People pay upwards of $500+ a year in lawn care. Oy. It takes me less than an hour a week (and here only in the summer).

More like $1500++ over here in FL with mowing and lawn treatments. Shoot lawn treatment alone can be $500/yr.
But yeah I'd rather do all the work myself and spend it on semiannual vacations rather than have some rednecks on meth cut my lawn for $100/m.

Different priorities I guess.

I bag my clippings....I emptied the bag about 10 times on Saturday because of all the leaves!

They have leaf blowers that convert to suck/grind them down. It's actually pretty fun after you get it all in a pile.

Wow that's actually a thing.

Shoot lawn treatment alone can be $500/yr.

Crazy overpriced considering what I throw on which is just crabgrass control once and weed & feed a couple times a year. Less than $100. My lawn looks just as good as the neighbors with landscapers (like 80% of the neighborhood). Their leaf blowers going for hours on consecutive and random days drives me up the wall. My FB friends know all about it.

We need to Xeroscape the backyard like the front yard yet.

The wife just goes out front and pulls weeds now and then every few weeks and seems to enjoy doing it.
