An interesting element of the scene, in my opinion was that O'Reilly went tight as a drum under attack, but Frankin took what O?Reilly dealt with relish and countered viciously and too the point. It looked like O'Reilly may be righteous, but Frankin clearly felt he was right. He was very clear and self confident about his words.

No, but O'Reilly may have some grounds against Franken for profiting from his likeness (he is a celebrity) and for defamation of character. Probably not, ultimately, but it might be interesting to see what happens.

People profit off the likeness if not stories of others all the time. Peggy Noonan, former Reagan speechwriter and persistent apologeticist, just penned a book called The Case Against Hillary Clinton. It is perfectly legal to write about public figures . . . hell it is probably legal to write about private figures.

As for Franken's book it isn't libel if he's either telling the truth or has no reason to believe what he wrote is false. Franken may have a case against O'Reilly for slander but I doubt O'Reilly can make a similar claim.

Im watching the video again... and Molly Ivins is going over her Book Bushwacked: Life in George W. Bush's America.

All I can say that, It's absolutely disgusting what this administration has done with environmental policy, just from hearing Molly's recap of the book.

disgusting

I know I know, its not George Bush's fault, I'm just a Bush basher. Blah blah blah, when you hear Molly Ivans talk about how George Bush is affecting the lives of people in America and the enviroment, you cant help but shake your head.

As a good prequel to her new book you should read Shrub: The Short, Happy Political Life of George W. Bush. She basically details the good, bad, and ugly of GWBs personal, business, and public service (sic) life. She essentially predicts the rollback in environmental protections, tax cuts, and budget deficits . . . pretty impressive considering she wrote the book in 2000 (I think).

Anybody that would like to graduate from Bush Hater to Bush Critic should read Ivins . . . she's been on his trail for quite awhile.

Watched the rerun an hour or so ago. Pretty entertaining the debate was. And a passionate doodler Ms Ivins is.

Dammit Gaard! Quit talking like Yoda!

Yeah, he went into his whole humble correspondent shtick saying that he was attacked and blindsided by Franken etc. I don't remember exactly what was said because I tend to tune him out.

I don't know what the big deal about Realplayer is anymore. If edit the settings to your liking it's really not very bothersome at all.

its intrusive software that has had a history of spyware, and other annoying features. tries to take over your associations, etc, being a generally bad "guest" on your pc.
