almost 38 and never a cavity, no braces on this was only my 3rd visit

I have been to the dentist 3 times in my life. Since a kid I have drank about 2 liters or more of soda a day, switching to diet coke about 10 years ago. Should be a disaster as far as tooth health goes.

At 12 or so I had the typical xrays and cleaning, then around 25 went in and they decided to pull 4 of my wisdom teeth due to 2 having minor cavities and causing some crowding. Post visit they found I had an extra wisdom tooth which has since grown out.

Just finished up a visit, I am 38 next month. Teeth cleaned up perfect, a few teeth have about 1mm of space in the gum line which shouldn't be there. Should fix itself though with the cleaning. No cavities...teeth perfect. I brush once a day...never flossed. I am starting to floss now and will probably brush in the evening too.

Oddly though two more wisdom teeth are showing up on xray under the gums. I am trying to reach out to my old dentist to see if they appeared on his film prior and he just missed them.

2+ liters of soda should be apart of everyones diet. Coke makes you feel wonderful. 2+ Liters on a typical day is normal for me. I know a programmer who has been drinking a case of Mt. Dew every day for about 20 years straight now. 3 cans an hour every hour he's at work, 5 days a week. Soda does not lead to teh Diabeetus, I'm 34 and have drank probably more soda than OP and I have no problems and no Diabeetus.

Anyone else do this? That is a lot of pop, good lord. Especially diet pop, all that aspartame can't be good for one's body...

I would say a lot of people do, ever go to a 7-11? they sell Douple Gulps, which is close to 2 liters. Soda is bad for you, but it's delicious. I drink a soda for every glass of water I drink. I'm sure when I'm 50 I'll be paying for it, but than again I might get lucky like the dude who's been drinking 24 cans of Mt. Dew a day for 20 years. I would imagine he's lucky to be alive lol.

I drink all my soda with a straw, I'm sure I still get some of the effects on my teeth, but it's greatly reduced. If you consume large amounts of soda, ir should always be drank with a straw to keep your teeth from looking like a Meth Heads lol.

Well, I'm 24 and have never been to the dentist in my life.

I think one of my wisdom teeth is growing outward inside my gums for the last couple years. But I don't have any pain or problems. Is this a thing I should see a dentist for?

But your spelling and grammar shortcomings indicate a severe case of Tier One CSR (cranial soda rot) syndrome, perhaps the most vicious silent buzz killer of our modern times. :brokenheart:

First is an internet joke, I do know how to spell the word. And "have drank" isn't exactly improper grammar. While "have drunk" is what most people use, for informal usage - like on forums on the Internet. What I said shouldn't fall under any grammar error, except for Nazi's on the internet.

And if you're going to bold my spelling errors, you missed teh you're not much of a grammar/spelling Nazi are you??
