Oh yea, another thing about this site. If you pay with cc and it says failed, call your credit card company. I called up mine because after I tried paying on this site, my card didn't work anymore ! They told me they stopped it because I tried buying something from russia, but i told them it was me and everything was good, they just had to verify it.
that happend to me twice.

"I am not going to let my credit card number fall into the hands of Russian mafia". This phrase will appear in almost any discussion about Allofmp3.

Credit card payments are processed by Cyberplat a third party payment processor in Russia that has an excellent reputation, earned the trust of Diners Club as a qualified processor, and operates completely securely.

We have been in contact with lots of users. No one has ever reported credit card abuse as a result of payments made to Allofmp3. You are quite safe using your credit card with this company.

Anybody else thinks we may have allofmp3 representative here?

To answer someone's question; this site IS NOT LEGAL. Russia is a hotbed of music/film/software piracy, second only to China.

In essence, you're paying them for something you might as well get free from another P2P, because that's what they are.

so because of their location you assume they are lying about paying the license holders?

I'd like to try the site out but I'll wait to see if the RIAA comes knocking on any of your doors first.
🙂

I am not assuming, I am comparing facts: According to this article, Apple's final profit from each $.99 song sold is ~ $.10 Do you honestly think that some no-name website somewhere in Russia was able to negotiate a better deal? Doubt it. BTW, I know Russia extremely well, and there's no doubt in my mind that website is not legit. Hell would freeze over before russians will give up pirating other people's work.

I can read. Try searching this forum for allofmp3. Guess what, its not the first post.

Even if the RIAA decided to persue people who downloaded from a service such as AllOfMP3, they wouldn't be able to extract the types of awards they are getting from people who've used Kazaa, etc. Why? Because by downloading from AllOfMP3 you are NOT sharing the files with anyone else. RIAA cannot make the argument that by downloading, damages are magnified by the number of people who download the files from you...Basically, if you are not SHARING your MP3 files, you aren't going to be worth RIAA's time.

I am not arguing that AllOfMP3 is a legit service. Simply that people who only download and share nothing are going to be VERY far down on the list of targets for the RIAA.

How are the transfer rates from this place? I tried downloading a free mp3 from them and I got 3k transfer rate. I want to give them a shot but I'd like to see atleast 50-100k for downloads.

they cap the free stuff at slow speeds. My dl speeds from this site are usually pretty high, and I dl 4 songs at once. Sometimes the site itself gets slow, but it doesnt really effect the mp3 downloads.

pretty slow. maybe like 20KB/sec per song. thats why i download like 3 at a time using getright, so its around 60KB max or so. i dunno y its so slow, my speed tested out at 1.3mb/sec using speedtests.

For anyone that has used this service. Have you run into any issues with your paypal payments? The address I used for the allofmp3 account is different from my paypal address. I did not want the funds to fall into a black hole somewhere. Any input? I couldnt find anything on their site about it.
