I was really worried about these pills considering I didn't read in depth about the side effects, the stories I read after I bought the pills were about people ruining their office chairs, farting out orange grease, and other foul symptoms. Lovely. I've never taken any kind of weight loss products, but a workout buddy of mine convinced me to do this with her.

I've been on Alli for about a month now, and haven't had a single problem, nothing remotely like those stories. I'm ashamed to admit that I use it as a tool to scare me away from eating the wrong things and overeating, but the fear has been all the motivation I need - lol. I've lost 13 pounds over the past month, in addition to going to regular exercise. I've been preparing my own meals, lean chicken, fish, and whole grain everything - the goal has been to limit fat to below 10g per meal. I've religiously stuck to that, and my digestive system has been normal

Overall, my total loss has been 85lbs, with my current weight at 245lbs, and a goal of being near 200 by the end of the summer. Most of the loss has been from simple diet change over the past three years, but I've definitely yo-yo'ed when it came to weight. I've only been doing regular exercise for the past two months at my local YMCA, it's pretty low budget, but there are rarely people there when I go, so I've been much less self conscious about working out.

The pill has definitely helped me become more serious about what I eat, follow the instructions, and you won't have a problem - that's my experience.

while pills won't work wonders overnight or anything, and i think most of them don't do crap (but i don't know how they reall do/dont work), one thing is for sure.

they will help you out big time on the mental side of things when it comes to exercising and diet.

congrats on the weight loss man keep it up.

Alli is a smaller dosage of Xenical, a presciption weight loss pill. What it basically does is stops your intestines from absorbing lipids (fats) that you consume. I have used Xenical in the past and I assure you, it works. The biggest side effect is that the unabsorbed oil exits the body as fecal matter so be prepared for baby wipes in your bathroom because you're gonna have a greasy ass to wipe. If you eat a lot of greasy, fried foods, it does help in terms of stopping your body from absorbing all that fat but its gotta go somewhere so if you're out about a lot, be careful when you sneeze.

My personal experience is that using Xenical makes me afraid of eating greasy food because of the side effects that come along with it. So in that sense, it almost works like a deterrent against eating junk/fried food.

Limiting fats to < 10g per meal isn't necessarily a good thing. Eating no fats is better than eating unhealthy saturated fats, but including healthy fats in your diet would be even better.
