All Websites Check In.....

All Members, Proxy's, GameBoxes, and Miniteams that have websites, please check in here,

I am making a database that will be open to all TA websites for use. I think this will make things a lot easier for all of us. Kind of a central db for all the websites. I figured this would be better to use all the web sites that are already up than making a whole new one. This db will serve several purposes, such as maintaining an active member list, what projects each person is working on, and any other info we might need. From each site a member will be able to subscribe/unsubscibe to maiilings, update any info, and view reports on the team as a whole(no personal info made public of course)

If you have a site and are interested, I will make a set of guidlelines for sites to hook up to the DB (will be pretty easy on your end if you know just HTML) and will send it out shortly.

Also, all ideas and suggestions are welcome, as im still touching up the DB layout.

P.S. The difference is I have set up the php version to autoupdate my personal stats of the bottom right hand corner.

you will be able to interact with my DB with any language you choose, all cross-server communication will be done in querystring paramters.

I think this is a great idea. I don't have a section setup yet on my site for the team but I'm still designing the layout so until that's sorted I'm trying to not add too much more until it's stable. I'd like to be able to offer the information though when it's available. The more places we can plug the team the more likely we are to gain members.

Train - i was thinking along the same lines as beefcake...I really love the idea It sounds like a great idea for you to implement on your own, however, once the website goes up, perhaps we could get you to port it over to the team webpage? We really want to consolidate as much as we can into one place (at least IMO). Since you've already started, I don't see why you shouldn't continue.

Ummm, are you guys missing the point?

this is to be used by ALL ta webpages, the DB itself has no page, it just is a back end for other pages to use. if teamanandtech.com wants to use it, its more than welcome to. The actual server to which it will be permanently hosted on isnt for sure yet, but if no one offers, ill host it on one of mine.

Also ever think of putting up a webring? (www.webring.org). The main advantage to this is that it gets the team(s) into yet another search engine, and the code is pretty much written already.
