All Voodoo cards are being taken off the shelves.

It's true. Nvidia is buying up the rest of 3dfx's assets and shutting them down totally. Support stops on Feb 15th and they've sent notifications to major retailers like best buy to remove all 3dfx hardware because they will NOT support it.

No more drivers.

3dfx is offically dead. If you have a 3dfx card, enjoy it for the next 5 months or so and then expect to be buying a Nvidia card if you want new drivers. Sorry bout that. Cant blame Nvidia really, 3dfx got themselves into this mess and they jut picked up pieces. Not enough room for them to maintain two different lines of product like this.

Darwin was right..

Story was on www.voodooexteme.com and a few other sites.

That's bullsh|t (not doubting the story, just the business decision). I hope some lawyer with some time on his hands sues them based on consumer protection laws. B@stards.

Oh, this is great -- they've pulled the drivers from the site so I can't even DL the latest ones???

I figure the retailer panic is already starting. Staples has the V32000 boxed at £48- used to be £68.
Hell I'm almost tempted but wanna scoop a V5500
