all video games crashing!!!

q3, rtcw, vietcong, rallisport challenge ~ after about 5 - 10 minutes of play, and mostly multiplayer, without fail, everytime... will crash w/error message and send report button. when i restart a couple games, they always blame the vid card for the crash and want me to put my graphics settings at an "optimal" setting before i start

... so im figuring, since this is a new problem, and i havent changed anything on the system, except to add or remove a game or two... it gotta be the hardware acting up

not OCing my 9700 pro right now, see sig for other rig specs
i run windows xp
temps are fine on cpu and vid card
runnin cat 3.4s
5 gigs left on system partition of 20 gigs ~ should be enough room to run some games, right?
no other video related probs, just games

Though you say temps are fine for cpu/vidcard, I suspect temps(somewhere) are likely the problem. Remove side of case and use house fan for cooling.

I've heard about problems with the cat 3.4 drivers, did you recently update them?

(i don't have an ati card, by the way...just what ive heard)

Also try your CPU and FSB at default speeds not OC,the ATI 9700 Pro is sensitive to OC.

I assume you've tried running at stock speeds?

And make sure you have the latest BIOS and chipset drivers for your system.
