ALL video cards 10% off at Best Buy

Then that would be 40 dollars off. 399 - 40 = 359/359 + 40 = 399
Check = Check
The answer is 40 dollars!

doh, i was hoping, it'd be $359 - $50 = $310

which would be HOT

Seems to be 10% across the line on all their video cards.

ATI Radeon x800 Pro $359.99 (showing in stock)
BFG 6800GT $359.99 (pre-order)

Both x800 XT (coming soon) and 6800ultra (sold out) are currently unavailable for online order but are showing prices at $449.99

Oh man, prices are the exact same for their mid and upper level cards... always liked nvidia drivers (never had an ati though)... what to do!!?!? 🙁

Not a bad price for a 6800 GT from a very good manufacturer...and OC'd to boot!!!

Thanks OP...never thought I would spend this much on a video card, but the performance is too amazing to pass up.

Bah...Online only? Are they serious? It's 4th of July. People are going to be in stores looking for bargains too. Might as well order from Newegg my 9800 Pro. No tax and free shipping.

meh i could really use a new video card. my 9500np is starting to crap out on me i think... might have to hit up bestbuy today and see if there's anything worth getting.

I wonder how long this sale will last?

Can't decide if I should waiting longer or jump now. Prices should go down once everyone gets them instock. 6800GT say instock 7/6 to 7/12. Hopefully that is accurate.

BUMP

Can someone recommend a good card for < $100 (@ BB)? I was looking at some 128M cards as I only have the TNT2 32M right now. I rarely use it for gaming. Thanks.

If you don't game, then why do you want a 128MB card? It won't make 2D go faster. Get an ATI card (any ATI card) for better 2D quality.

Looks like the sale was only good for the holiday weekend. =(

Oh well...it's not like I actually _need_ a new video card right now.

So then what is the definition of a good driver if you have nothing to compare it to?

Just some of the things I think about....

He simply stated he liked the Nvidia drivers, and he had no reference of ati as he had never owned one. I don't see him stating commenting good or bad vs ati just that he had no experience with them.

Rarely != never. 🙂 I still game sometimes.

5600 for $79.99 -$30MIR

Thanks for the link. I saw that earlier, but TD receives a ton of negative press with regards to rebates.

I've only dealt with 1 Tiger Direct rebate, it was on a Visiontek radeon 9500 pro for $20. I did wonder if I was ever going to receive it, and after a long while I contacted Tiger Direct customer service to see if they could check into it for me since I could not find why my rebate was taking so long from the rebate center. They didnt say whether or not they contacted the rebate center for me, but I received the rebate about 2 weeks later, and for my inconvience Tiger Direct matched the rebate by refunding $20 back to my credit card. Maybe I just got lucky with the CSR but it worked out fine for me, and other than the hassle with the rebate Ive never had an issue with my orders from them otherwise.
