I have to say that, watching this video, it reminds why I always am annoyed with Apple fan boys.

OMG, their Calendar looks the same as what we released? Seriously? It's a fuggin calendar. You have minutes/hours/days/weeks/months/years. There are only so many ways you can layout a calendar. Beyond that, there are only so many colors in the spectrum that you can use to highlight objects that won't clash with the color of the text. Did he want MS to put their calendar out in reverse order for better ____?

And time and again, he continues to knock DLLs and the registry? What's the point? There are a number of places settings can be stored in Windows, and the registry is one of them. I don't see why that is considered a problem. Purely because they have a different method is not a good reason.

I just don't see how MS is going to shift their entire design methodology and not piss off every developer in the process, giving them all reason to leave Windows and move to something else. If they remove the fundamentals of their OS, and if I am a business looking to upgrade, the next time may not be Windows if we have to go through the work of completely using different software.

Meh, say what you want. Vista was not MS's best effort, but between 7 and 8, I am happy with both. XP was a great OS for a LONG time. And any business is likely to have a ton of machines running either 7 or 8. Not nearly as much for Mac.

XP; mofo lasted for 12 years. And corporate America was as happy as a pig in shit during that time.

I like Win 7. It's like OSX & XP had a baby.

Win 8 can go fuck itself.

3.11 that is where I started to really learn my way around PCs. It forced me to learn dos commands and how to edit IRQs. Most kids today have no clue how to use a dos command beyond ping and ipconfig.

DOS in order: 6.22, 5.X then 3.x / 4.X was trash

Windows: 7, XP, NT, 98SE, 3.1 / Rest were junk

Novell 3, then 4 / Rest were junk

OS/2 Warp then OS/2 Warp 4

Linux, sorry guys they all just blend to me in a mesh of open source no direction hell. I'd say Ubuntu but with any other GUI than GNOME3

Interesting. While I loved 3 which was a workhorse the introduction of NDS made 4 worthy of serious consideration for larger environments; no more needing to log into multiple servers. I liked 5 better once IP was supported and could do away with IPX but I had the most fun with 6 & 6.5, especially clustering.

We are finally (hopefully) kicking what is left of it out of here this summer. While I suspect many of the issues we have are a result of things not being configured quite right the pain of supporting a system used by very few people put out by a company that acts like information is a valuable resource only to be given out grudgingly is unbelievable.
