can we stop? I think there's a difference between a serious thread (and even if it has scattered jokes inside), and people just trying to put up a thread about God for the sake of doing so. It's kinda lame and it's borderline spam?

Agreed. IIRC, wasn't there a huge forums cleansing because of endless shitty parody threads being posted...or something like that, a couple/few years ago?

LOL, I've been running off my CP all day and didn't hit the OT main page til you pointed it out. I found it amusing, and I am sure the mods will sweep in with mass bannination here in a moment or two.
 
I mean I don't mind the ones going "God, work sucks today" but when people are like "Who played the best God" "If you can make God bleed" "If God is real..." "People who hate God" it's kinda excessive... one after the other...

they shouldn't even have to purge threads that shouldn't be there to begin with. If people would stop being childish douchebags (yes i know, an impossible task for AOTOTers) then this wouldn't happen.

This is one of the reasons I would never want to be a mod here.

While they're purging threads, I think they should purge the accounts of the people who made the threads.

USER purge. i dont care about the threads, they sink off to oblivion fast enough anyways, even if not locked
 
I locked everything that was a nef thread. I left the ones alone that stayed (mostly) on topic.

Evadman's point was that he locked threads where the responses were all threadcrapping and he left threads open where the topic in the OP was being legitimately discussed.
