More importantly, when did Lizzy Caplan get so hot?

Sure she's been pretty good looking in other movies but her look in this movie is hot hot hot!
See if you can catch any of her in the Masters of Sex series that was on Showtime. She's dynamite in every respect and she was naked fairly often too.

Have you not seen Team America World Police?

Awesome movie.

Fuk NK, now Sony has cancelled the release, at least for now. http://variety.com/2014/film/news/s...se-for-the-interview-on-christmas-1201382032/

This is downright pathetic that a dictator spazzing out somewhere can work in this manner--assuming as we may be that NK is behind this (no proof, unfortunately). But dictator or not, this is suppression of art through threat of violence. I thought America was better than that. I know terrorism has made it weak and fearful of its own shadow, but this is truly lame.

Caution, Kim Jong Un is reading this very thread.

See how that works?

Apparently, it worked on Sony so well, they're taking a huge multi-million $$$ hit on holding back the release.

And all it took was some hackers making threats (apparently).

I would normally have no interest in this kind of film. I had planned to see it just to give my own personal **** you to North Korea. Sony pulling this film has created very dangerous precedent. I'm a little embarrassed to be an American today.

A Happy Anniversary for Sony-Slayer Kim Jong Un
In the latest setback for Sony, the fourth-largest theater chain in the U.S., Carmike Cinemas (CKEC), has decided not to screen The Interview, the Seth Rogen-James Franco comedy about a plot to assassinate Kim Jong Un. Meanwhile, Landmark Theatres announced the cancellation of the New York premiere of the movie...
Though, its not clear how hard a target Sony was...
In 2005, Sony Pictures Entertainment was audited to ensure the company was keeping in line with federal regulation regarding information security practices. The auditor found, among other things, that Sony had deliberately engaged in insufficient digital security practices...

If Sony were a bank, the auditor said, its lackluster security practices would put it out of business.

Sony’s then-executive director of security information Jason Spaltro pushed back: If a bank was a Hollywood film studio, he said, it would already be out of business.

“It’s a valid business decision to accept the risk (of a cyberattack),” Spaltro told CIO Magazine in 2007. “I will not invest $10 million to avoid a possible $1 million loss.”
Looks like Sony should have of stuck to selling music CDs infected with Sony's rootkit ...

Previews on TV are still being aired. Weird.

So I wonder what kind of retaliation (legal or otherwise) is being mounted aginst the perps.

I'll pay for 50 tickets if it is a movie about killing Bibi in Israel.

It would be antisemitic and you'd have the ADL all over it like white on rice. Now if they make a movie about nuking the mideast and then dumping pigs blood on the burning corpses, that would get the greenlight.

As for Sony, they're cowards if they really did go back and change the movie. In fact, they should tell N. Korea to fuck itself and put the movie out earlier than it was supposed to be released.

Wouldn't be surprised if this Sony hack was yet another site compromised by the Heartbleed bug. It was way bigger and more widespread than most experts even realize. Hackers were probably reading those e-mails for years waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

I read an interesting theory about the Sony hack from a security specialist.
North Korea doesn't have the tools (Software) for this type of attack, but China does and is very interested in hacking the US. They provide N Korea with the tools to do China's bidding and China can say " it was not us "... Like this was a trial run.

Why would NK not have the tools?

The leadership has a load of money that they can throw at things like this and any group supported by the resources that a state (even a basket case one) can find is going to be fairly formidable. Look at the chaos that Anonymous causes and they dont have any funds or a safe haven.

They have a lot of money but it's not unlimited. They only have what computers China has sold them. I imagine that their internet access comes from China too. It's not crazy to suggest that China was involved.

They were using servers in South America I think.

Just because the authorities in NK severely limit their civilians any access to the outside world it doesn't mean that they lack any access.

I started thinking more about this issue last night and the ramifications of Sony's decision for future media...and it pissed me off to no end. I hate that we are living in a country where veiled threats are defining how we live. It makes me angry and nauseous.

The left doesn't care. One of there favorite countries on the planet just threatened US movie theaters, which fearing that threat proceeded to cancel the move showing. What was sony supposed to do?

America is so much safer under Obama, that Supreme commander Kim, from north korea can now tell our movie theaters what films to show.
