Death of a President
1977

"The film depicts the 1922 assassination of the first President of Poland Gabriel Narutowicz by artist and Endecja sympathizer Eligiusz Niewiadomski."

Yes never been done before. Find a single film where the plot line is focused on a sitting world leader being assassinated and they don't change his name. Puppets, cartoons, and shit you draw freehand do not count.

Shouldn't be tough, right? I mean assassination is one of the most popular plots in film and appears constantly in real life! Unless, maybe, there is a reason it was never done before?
I am really enjoying watching you make a total ass out of yourself in this thread as you regal us with your knowledge of what the film industry has or hasn't done.

Well I meant to add that the film has to be made in a country other than the leader who is assassinated. It's meaningless of Americans to kill Americans on a foreign policy level but Koreans? Totally different.

So go back and Google some more. Who knows? One may exist I don't actually research my arguments.

Could something like this happen at the IRS or the DoD? Boy could that bring America to it's knees fast..... Not enough smart software engineers in the world.

Yep, people like him bring joy to us all. It is rare a person is owned so cleanly, though; a perfect cut from a clean blade.

Blanky you googled and found a movie that I didn't know existed.

Congrats on your dumb ass + Google disproving shit I made up just to fuck with you! Nice "blade" you got there.

Seriously who even talks about themselves like that? You must be such a douche in real life.

I really don't understand all this hubbub over NK's threats. I mean, what exactly are they going to do? They have a hard enough time hitting South Korea with an ICBM. They aren't hitting my local theater.

With that said, I wasn't going to watch this movie anyway. It is just so incredibly stupid to censor ourselves because NK of all places is offended and making more threats they can't follow through with.

Tre, calm down. Stop hissy fitting like a baby, you're embarrassing.

So anyway, I love what Obama said this afternoon. Says NK was behind this and chastised Sony for pulling the release. Says a response to NK will be proportional, though nobody knows what that means right now.

I hope we bomb the shit out of them. But, I'm sure it will be nothing more than a stern talking at by Obama on TV.

Why would we bomb the shit out of them? Because they're assholes? Because they hacked a company that didn't spend enough time on Internet security? They don't pose a threat to us, and just going around dropping bombs on countries has never really worked out for us. And bombing civilians isn't going to change the mind of a dictator who has already shown he is perfectly willing to kill his own people without remorse. Let's kill a bunch of innocent people and give a dictator an opportunity to prop himself up by framing their deaths as martyrdom for his righteous cause; how could that possibly fail?

Tell me what is Obama's record as a war time president?

How did his 'leading from behind" work out for the people of Libya?
How about his leadership in Iraq?
Anyone think that we are winning in Afghanistan?

WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.

A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small "inside" group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes.

I hope the U.S. responds with a cyber attack on N Korea's major economic websites. Somehow I think that's not going to happen but I hope it does because then N Korea would get help to make cyber attacks on U.S. major economic sites. I want to see the whole thing escalate to one serious level after the next.

N Korea's major economic websites

😕

Pray tell what "major economic websites" North Korea has?😕

Just an odd thought: (and perhaps it's coming from me because I probably find him incredibly over-rated)

Maybe this entire thing is a publicity stunt?

the data that's been leaked so far is pretty sensitive and somewhat damaging (eg: the head of Sony pictures engaging in racist dialogue regarding Obama, emails that point to columnists at the New York Times giving preferential treatment, etc).... I can't imagine they'd risk all these black marks over a shitty Seth Rogan/James Franco movie.
