All the motherboards are confusing...please help

I'm building a system. 1.4GHz Athlon, 512MB of Crucial PC2100 DDR. All the good stuff, GeForce3, Soundblaster Live, etc. What would you all recommend as a motherboard? Overclockability would be a plus but not necessary, and I'd like to spend under $200. Thanks

Well, there are many choices out there, you have to do some Research on your Own though. If you want to buy now then I'd suggest looking into Viakt266 chipsets or Amd76o, Ali is junk leave it alone, or if you would like to wait a little Longer then some new chipsets will be coming out such as the Sis735 and the Nforce. Right now I'm on an Msi K7T266pror motherboard with the Viakt266 chipset, everything is great so Far. I guess if you want Amd760, I'd Look into the Epox 8k7a, Pretty nice motherboard all around.

ALi is hardly junk, Via's been having some major problems so I wouldn't go with them. You may want to look into boards based on SiS's chip either that or default to a board based on AMD's own 760.
