The problem is that humans do not read every word by itself, it also read paragraphs.

While you can read that paragraph from start to finish as fast as anything else, it is difficult to perceive it when read as a paragraph and not word by word.
 
The p in spelling moved really far. I first read that as "sleeping was ignorant" and was like HUH?

This is old. However, it still doesn't excuse people from using phrases wrongly, failing at grammar or punctuation, or using text speak.
