Where does it even snow enough near areas where Islam is prevalent, for them to even care, lol.

The article specifically says that his statement was in response to snow in the northern parts of the Arabian Peninsula.

Exodus 20:4
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth

Not what that means at all. No worshiping the other things of God's creation. IOW, no other gods/idols. Pretty clear.

Should have seen it before we dug a hole in the snowMAN to attach it.

It was a full-length athletic sock (almost knee-high) stuffed with snow and a straightened then folded coat hanger. We spritzed it with water and rolled it in more snow before packing the tip. We sprayed that with water and stuck it in the freezer so that it would withstand being shaped while we worked on the rest of the snowMAN, but we were running out of snow and his size was limited.

"Graven" having something to do with worshiping the image / idol as a god.

Ah, so it's in the same part that says weaving a cloth from two fabrics is an abhorrent sin.
