hmm so if Walmart is canceling your orders does that mean they have a few more left in stock? Just curious, or did they cancel them right away and sell them unnoticed.

Dam, they had thes PS'2 for about 10min at a best buy here in Lansing (okemos actually)...sold out a minute before I got in the door.

Hey StonerDave, I was there today too at Okemos. They had more in the back! They refuse to sell them to us tho cuz they were selling them to the employees. It's ridiculous......I saw them hand them out to two kids that went to the back. I was wicked pissed. I need one for my brother for Xmas

36 free rentals is great. Only prob is that the closest store to me is in freaking Pomona! Sorry, not going to drive 400 miles to rent some games. I don't get it though. Do they really have them in stock or are they just taking orders? Since I can't use the rentals I'm basically just paying for the system, and $500 is a little too high. After shipping and tax, it's in the area of $550, wouldn't really make too much more if you e*ay it considering how much the auction fees would be. Think I'll pass on this one.
Got my PS2 bundle from Walmart.com yesterday and I have to say that I like the system. Also, I went into an EB with Ridge Racer unopened and no receipt, told them it was a gift, and they let me exchange it for SSX with no problems.

Remember it's the games that make a system, not so much whether or not it has anti-aliasing. In a year, when everyone is being blown away by how good GT 3, Silent Hill 2, FF IX, and MGS 2 look and play, you'll be eating those words.

Keep watching Walmart.com if you want to get one of these. I was surfing today at lunchtime, clicked on walmart and to my surprise they had PS2 bundles in stock. Placed my order (which was accepted) and then immediatly checked back to find they were already sold out! Whatever quantity they had sold out in a couple of minutes, but they seem to be getting more in so if you keep checking periodically you'll probably luck out and get one.
go to the techbargains website and get the ps2 availability scanner.. scans amazon, best buy, and others every 15 minutes...
Wow, Walmart's fast. Put in the order this afternoon and got notification of shipment a few minutes ago.
Ok www.fol.net are now showing they are sold out... I wonder if they ARE for real or is this just another ploy to add credability to their scam?!?!?!!?

house and I was like 300 dollars for this crap.
I was expecting Final fantasy Cutscene type of gameplay
during the whole deal. not those ugly polygonal craps.
The game i played was kessen and supposedly kessen
had the best graphics out of all the release games. and
kessen didnt have final fantasy 7 cutsene type of graphics
bleah. CRAP CRAP CRAP. ill wait till it drops to 150 dollars then
get it. by that time game programmers would have actually
figured out how to use the vector units efficiently.
