guys i hav been asked to assemble a simple HTPC for my uncle.

i will take
cpu: Pentium SB G620
ram: G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 4 GB (F3-12800CL9D-4GBXL)
ssd: OCZ Octane S2 64 GB SSD (OCT1-25SAT2)
HDD: WD Scorpio Blue 500 GB
no graphics card, since no one will play any games.

but i am not sure about MOBO

1.GA-H61M-D2H (gigabyte H61 chipset)
2.P8H61-M PLUS V2 (asus H61 B3 chipset)

The reason for the listing of the B3 has to do with the issue from last year when the SATA II controller on a "6" series boards had problems. The "B2" was the problem controller and the "B3" was the controller that didnt have the issue. To help show the customers that they were getting a board that isnt using the older controller they used the B3 in the naming. In truth you would be extremely hard pressed to find any of the B2 boards still on the market. Maybe someone on Ebay might try to sell one but I can't believe any resellers would. So at this point they just have stopped listing the B3 while Asus has kept it up at least for the "6s".
