I think it would be best for consumers if all the mobile vendors release their mobiles in certain time in year only for ex in World Mobile Congress .Because every vendors release their phone on their wish.We either have to wait for our fav. phone release(which takes long time and waste our time by reading rumor mills) or have to buy a phone instant without proper comparing with others and we repent when we see after few weeks a new has all and best features with low price. It is just a Very Bad situation for me atleast. i would like to hear from u what is ur thought about it?

I don't think we need to change much. Besides, it'd be pretty boring if everyone released their phones in a short space of time... you'd have nothing to look forward to for most of the year!

As it stands, certain companies are fairly predictable. HTC and Samsung release their flagships in the spring, while Apple and LG target late summer / early fall. Nokia seems to be one of the few companies that's relatively unpredictable, although that's because its schedule is partly (and soon to be completely) tied to Microsoft's. Also, follow tech news sites! You'll often catch wind of when a big new phone is coming up.

For most people I don't think it makes a difference. When they are looking to upgrade their phone they will start looking at the newest devices out and checking reviews etc. They may see that company X has a new phone out in a couple months and they can wait to see that if they want. I feel that in general, the majority of users don't care what's out there until they are looking for a new phone for themselves and then they take what they like best at that time. So having everyone release in March and November for example wouldn't be useful for most people because when they want an upgrade, they will do their research anyway.

No - terrible idea - technology in all areas advances considerably within a year, even in a quarter. Technology should be made available to consumers as soon as it's able.

For example, for MWC 2013, the S600 was the best SOC available. However by Q3 the S800 was available with its considerable performance and power usage improvements.

For MWC 2014, no 2K display was ready for production release. Regardless of its value, should consumers have to wait until 2015 when displays will be ready later this year?

I hate all that pesky free market economy stuff. We need more restrictions and rules.

If it's such a big deal, wait for the releases to complete by October and decide from there. Forcing everyone to the same release schedule is just asinine and virtually impossible.
