Compare to Radeon 32M for the double price, seems hot for me. There's $30 "it's your pay" rebate from BB.

I love my A-I-W Radeon, and purchased recently a A-I-W 128 PCI to put in a seperate system. I would suggest you stay away from the 128 Pro line because of all the headaches you'll have with driver support, from what I've heard.

hey guys....2 questions

1. where did you see the advertisement for the all in wonder? I looked int eh best buy circular this week for it and didn't see it. I have been looking for a good deal on one of these to do video capture so that I can edit Hi8 video on my computer and transfer to CD. Does the AIW allow for MPEG compression?

2. What kind of driver issues are there, and is this video card something to stay away from for that reason? Is there a better or cheaper one out there that does basically what I'm looking for?

Thanks!

I love the card, but the tech support and drivers update and their softwares are HORRIBLE!!!! The compatiblity sucks too. I would stay away from it.

yeah, tech support is horrendous (their in freakin' canada with no toll free number and no one answering email) and their cards are not optimized to use 3dnow! instructions, but they are best combo cards out there. good TV, nice mpeg-2 decoder, and a pretty damn fast video card. drivers really suck--i'm using an unsupported beta driver (bfd, like they have any support) because when i upgraded to directX 8, it decided it wanted to drop frames when playing dvds. if you have an intel box or are a glutton for pain, this is the best card to get.

ATI Rage Pro cards are fine with Win 98 and probably with Win ME, but no good with NT 4. I'm not sure about Win 2K, but wouldn't gamble on it.

I am using AIW 32MB (not Pro) for about 6 months now and everything works fine so far. Yes, it works with Win2K Server & Pro, 95, 98, ME.

1, I have got this card, and installed in my PC. It's working fine - I mean I can use all the functions (like the video capture from my sony ccd-trv87, watch tv ...) even I still got some "!" in the system config.

2, I got it from the B&M, not the their website. The version I got is 128 pro. The tag in the my local store said it's $159, even I got a little problem when I check out.

3, I don't know how good the AIW redeon is. But
128 pro - $130
radeon - $230

I really don't there's a big difference between them except chip.

Yes, ati trade has the same deal. But you need to pay shipping and a old card.
