Anyone know of any All in one printer/copier/scanner/fax that are good? in the 100-250 range?
specially interested that it actually has a standalone Fax feature and nothing done over the computer.

thank you

I know that lexmark makes something like that

maybe check out their website? I don't know the model but they have a nice A-I-O that will work great and I think that it is in that price range.

I have the HP D135 and I do not have it connected to the PC at all. I use the fax, sheet feeder, copier and scanner. I think they have a new numbering scheme now but the D135 is a real workhorse for me, plus it is pretty decent with the ink usage although I use black 99 % of the time

I would suggest the following for under $200:
-HP 4110
-HP 5510
-HP 2210, old but good if you can find it.

OfficeMax has the:
-2410 for $269 with a $30 gift card mail in.
-6110 for $279.

I have the HP 4110 ... (Forgot the model no. while posting earlier)

Decent even quality, small footprint, and refillable.

Thanks for all the tips guys, sounds like HP is the way to go.

i did see that epson model CX4600 at Newegg but that has no standalone fax.

If you are buying inkjet, HP is never the way to go. Unless you aren't going to use it that much.

the all in one is for a friend he wants mostly fax and scannign and copying but with the option to print if ever needed.

i myself dont really like All in one machines. one thing breaks and your out completly until you fix it.

Lexmark printers suck a$$. I bought an HP 4100 series printer/fax/scanner/copier a few months ago for my wife (she's a real estate agent so we really need a fax at home). We couldn't be happier with it. Works perfectly every time and it prints decent quality even in color. I paid less than $200 for it (in fact, I think it was $149 at Circuit City).

hey guyz

my old, OLd printer that came with my computer in 1999 finally died. my dog pushed it over. very crazy.

anyway

i am looking in getting one of those all in one deals.

but i dont need a fax.

I type up a whole bunch of papers for school and i would like to stop going to knykos for copying.

i'm looking to spend about $150-200. 250 max

what is good that is in my price range nowadays?

maybe something that also has cheap ink for refilling to.

TIA

PS woot arent u guyz proud, i did a search before i just posted another, what should i buy thread!!

random, the hp 1350 is a killer printer... 20USD for black and 38USD for colour..accepts a photo cartridge, has has a built in media reader, and is around 140 USD

Actually, for All in One, HP is the best way to go. Lexmark is very meh and other makers don't have very mature lines. The HP's are more expensive to run, but they are reliable and solid.

How is this canon printer?

Canon MP730

It got number one from pcworld and if it really is totally awesome i think i can save a little more and get this thing and solve all my problems?

how about the HP 5510 or 5110?

and the HP psc 2175. they are all like around the same price but have small specs diff.

what is HP thermal ink? is it like their own special ink i have to buy everytime i need new ink?

right now i get cheap ink online for about 5 bucks. anything compares to that?

also, is their such thing as a laser all in one printer?

Thx
~RaNDoM

I personally use a Canon multipass f60. Black ink cartridge and each individual color carts are around $5 each. Excellent photo quality (on normal paper), and some speedy copying. I got mine for less than $200.
