All-in-one printer/scanner/fax: the PC doesn't need a modem, right?

For those all in one's that fax direct from the machine itself, you DO NOT need a modem in your PC. Is this correct?

Yes SHOULD be correct, no PC modem. What is your model number ?

Looks like the standard fare to me, should have a place for the phone line in the unit. I have a Brother unit, and I am sure they all work at least close to the same. You don't even need to turn the PC on to copy or fax!
