India.
No surprises here.
Let me expand that thought:
While it's a good thing that the band existed in the first place, I can't say that I'm shocked or surprised that they were all but forced to quit.

If anyone is genuinely surprised at this happening, I'll retract my statement.

Aren't you surprised there was a all girl rock band in a muslim majority area infested with terrorists in the first place or do you have just shit for brains?

BTW, all the girls in that band were muslim too.

Too bad your government won't do anything about it because they are too busy pandering for votes to the same religion.

What do you want to hear?
"Wow, I can't believe this happened! India is such a progressive country! This is unthinkable in this day and age!"
Not going to happen.

Look kid, I didn't say any of that. I just expressed pleasant surprise that a place which has a conservative muslim majority + poverty + active terrorism can allow a all girl muslim band to exist in the first place and I mourned the loss of that here. We do not need approval from you to know what we are.

And stop trying to divert this thread and stop feigning outrage too, you little insecure boy.

By the way, SoundKidRed.

If I wanted to gloat about India, I would have done it right when the band existed, not after it got shut down. So stop crapping in this serious thread and run to your mummy.

Damn, I'm not a woman, stop treating me like that.
Such anger.
This isn't the cesspool of P&N, you might ask to have it move there so you can rage in good company.

Another thing, Soundmanred.

Kashmir has been facing Pakistani sponsored infiltrated terrorism for the past two decades. It is very poor place with almost no economic activity and some fairly radicalized populace. People are still getting killed there for opposing terrorists and their diktats. So in circumspect I will claim one thing and that one thing is that each one of those girls in that band had more balls than you ever did or ever will.

I agree 100%. For a woman over here to even open their mouths is a brave, brave act. I applaud them for that.

Finally we agreed on something, lets leave it at that and concentrate on the important issue of the loss of freedom for these girls.

Can't really say I'm surprised, and I wont be surprised when nothing gets done about it either.
