All games freeze the SECOND time I run them

I am having a unique problem. It seems that when I run a graphics application it runs fine... with no problems. When I quit and run ANY other graphics application my computer freezes at the execution of that program.

For example... If I play Warhammer the game will run fine and will close successfully. I can than do any number of things afterwards but when I startup another 3D application... say WOW the computer freezes. When this happens I reboot the computer and then I am able to repeat this same process.


I have already updated my graphics drivers, directX drivers.

List out your system specs. I'd guess power supply without knowing any other details.

I knew I forgot something...

I have a 650 W power supply
Dual XFX 6800 GT graphics cards in SLI mode
ASUS K8N-SLI Mobo
Creative Soundblaster Live 24-bit
AMD skt 939 3500+

Let me know if I'm missing anything important....

My first guess wouldnt be the power supply since it only freezes after I previously shut down a direct 3d game.

Other than that I'm completely clueless as to what I should do.
